New Knitter { $40 }
You’ve always wanted to learn to knit – now’s your chance! We’ll cover casting on, the knit and purl stitches, and binding off. You’ll knit a scarf in your choice of suggested yarn and styles. Instructor, Cornelia Griffin • Enrollment limited to 6.

Lillian Cowl { $45 }
Local knitwear designer Don Waalen will show you how to make his popular “Lillian” cowl. The Lillian is an airy, lacy cowl that incorporates two yarns and can be knit in a wide variety of textures and gauges – so you can really make it your own. Don will help you select a distinctive yarn combination and show you how to knit and edge this knockout cowl. Your class fee includes a copy of the pattern. Instructor, Don Waalen. Gansey Sampler Scarf { $45 }
Ganseys are traditional fisherman sweaters originally knit in Guernsey, and later throughout the British Isles, incorporating beautiful stitch motifs. Ken Krenz will teach you a variety of these motifs to be incorporated into a scarf. You may remember Ken’s “Tire Tread” scarf, which was featured in the shop and has garnered praise (and a State Fair ribbon) for its innovative style. Fraggle Squiggle Socks { $45 }
These highly textured, bubbly socks are fun to knit and wear. And, they’re a great project for those of you who can knit a basic sock and are looking for a more challenging project. Cables can add interest and texture to a project and, let’s face it, make you look like a virtuoso knitter. And they’re not that difficult! We’ll show you how to work cables into a small project of your choice. Or, stay with us for six weeks and knit a cabled sweater. Instructor, Cornelia Griffin • Enrollment limited to 8. Open to those with basic knitting skills. Please come by the shop to select your project prior to the first class session so you can have a gauge swatch prepared.
